The Weighted Point Averaging Method is based on a possible points system and WILL include the weight you have assigned to the specific Assignment Types.

Note: When using a Simple Averaging Method, you may use as many Assignment Types as you want. However, the weight does NOT matter for the calculation. The purpose of Assignment Types in the Simple Averaging Methods is to allow you to categorize your assignments and drop low and high scores. Also, the Averaging Method selected is valid for the duration of the class. Therefore, you do not need to change the Averaging Method at each 6 or 9 week period. For example, if you have a class that lasts for a semester, the Averaging Method is applicable for the semester.
